Adult/Children’s Dance

The purpose of the dance ministries are to minister and praise God through dance from a biblical point of view. Adult Dance is for individuals who are at least a high school freshman and/or an adult. Rehearsal for Adult Dance Group 1 is held on Sundays 6:30pm-7:30pm and Dance Group 2 on Mondays 7pm-8pm.

Children’s Dance is for young girls ages 8 through 14. Girls ages 4 through 7 interested in being a part of Angel’s In Motion need to sign up and attend rehearsal held on Wednesdays 6pm-7pm. Girls ages 8 through 14 will need to tryout and attend rehearsal held on Tuesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm. Rehearsals are also held on either Friday or Saturday prior to the 3rd Sunday.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts is a year-round program designed for boys who are in the first grade through twelfth grade. Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Boy Scouts. Cub Scouts are for young males in grades first through fifth, and meet Monday night from 7pm-8pm. Boy Scouts are for young males in grades sixth through twelfth, and meet Monday nights from 7pm-8:30pm. All of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the pack and members of the chartered organization.

Children’s Drama Team

The mission of Children’s Church is to teach children how to include God in their whole life experience. To teach children the fundamentals of worship, lead them into a meaningful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and guide them in developing that relationship." Children’s Church is held on First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Sundays during 10:45am worship service.

Crop Walk

CROP WALK (Christian Rural Overseas Program) began in 1946. Money raised through CROP WALK is used to combat international and domestic hunger. People in more than seven countries receive assistance, much of which is directed toward local participation, long term problem solving and self-help. New Light At-Risk Intergenerational Outreach Program (NARIOP)

The NARIOP program is a partnership of the Guilford County Schools and New Light Missionary Baptist Church and was designed to benefit high school students who have been short term suspended. Through this program, students receive counseling, educational enrichment, anger/conflict resolution, and community agency involvement. Our goal is to reduce the number of students who have reoccurring suspensions from school.
