Reverend Amos Lewis Quick, III, serves as an Associate Pastor of the New Light Missionary Baptist Church and is the anointed visionary and Spirit-filled Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in High Point, NC. Reverend Quick was called as the Pastor of Calvary in August of 2012 and began his pastorate on September 9, 2012.
A native of Greensboro, NC, Reverend Quick was introduced to the Good News at a very young age by his paternal grandparents and the Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ in High Point, NC. After his education at the University of NC at Wilmington (Psychology) and living in Charlotte, North Carolina, Reverend Quick returned to Greensboro and began attending the New Light Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr. is the Senior Pastor. After more than 3 years of study as a Minister In Training at the In the Light Continuing Education Center of the Apex School of Theology, Reverend Quick was licensed to preach the Gospel on March 16, 2011.
Since 2004, Reverend Quick, has served on the Guilford County Schools Board of Education as the representative for District 9. This past December, Reverend Quick was unanimously elected as the Vice-Chairman of the Guilford County Board of Education for the eighth consecutive term. Reverend Quick has amassed an impressive array of educational, social and civic recognitions and achievements but considers them all secondary to knowing and growing in Jesus Christ. Two Bible verses exemplify his faith in and love for Jesus Christ: “For the Word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in truth.” (Psalm 33:4) And, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
Reverend Quick is the very blessed father of two beautiful, accomplished daughters – Jasmine who is a senior at North Carolina State University, and, Raven who is a junior at East Carolina University
Reverend Dayhige M. Wrightserves as an Associate Pastor and Director of Media at New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC, under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. Cardes H. Brown, Jr and is the Senior Pastor of the Living Water Baptist Church of High Point, NC. At that age of 4, he began to preach the Word of the Lord. God continued to bless Pastor Wright, who at 8 years of age, was officially licensed to preach the Gospel at Light of Peace Missionary Baptist Church located in Rocky Mount, NC while under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Bishop Lonnie M. Braswell. At Light of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Wright served as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor. In this position, God allowed him to create many ministry opportunities. Pastor Wright also served in the Music and Audio/Video Ministries respectively.
Pastor Wright is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of the prestigious Winston- Salem State University, from which he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. He is currently enrolled at the Wake Forest University School of Divinty, pursing his Masters of Divinity. He is also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The prayers and advice from his family, and in particular his Grandmother, the late Dorothy Battle has played a vital and dynamic role in his spiritual foundation, that promotes his deep-rooted love for Jesus Christ. He also credits the prayers and mentoring of his second set of parents, Reverend Dr. Cardes & First Lady Diane Brown and many others.
Reverend Wright continues to travel and preach throughout the country. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”.
