Greetings and welcome to Ignite's home on the web. I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am so greatful and thankful that you have decided to visit us today. As the Youth and Young Adult Pastor I must say honestly that we have our work cut out for us, especially if we are going to build a youth ministry that strives for excellence, serves as an example, and supports all youth. Yet, I am very optimistic because of Philippians 4:13, "we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us."

I believe the social landscape our youth currently find themselves in may make developing a meaningful faith as challenging as it has ever been in the history of youth ministry. The reality is that we are at war. Ephesians 6 makes that clear to us and what is at stake is a generation of young people in need of salvation and a relationship with the Lord. I do not take being called to Youth Ministry lightly, and I do not intend to be nonchalant about the work at hand. I plan to work hard, never quit, and most of all make the most out of every opportunity. I am reminded of Colossians 3:23-24, which says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
